A functional foot orthosis is a device that is placed in the shoe to alleviate mechanically related pathological conditions of the lower limb. At Steps Gait & Podiatry our orthotic shoes are custom made in a laboratory from a prescription and cast taken by our podiatrists following a full biomechanical assessment.
There are different types of orthotics to accommodate your age, level of activity or particular sport, all of our custom made orthotics are made by Pegasus.
We also supply off the shelf orthotics, these are generally used when the patient only requires a device for sporting or leisure activities.
